Show and Tell

We have two projects for Show and Tell... **************************** Project 1-- Do you remember this? This is the plate hanger I picked up at a church sale in the Spring. I just knew I would do something with it. One day as I was looking at blogs, I saw this wonderful idea. It was at Just A Little Something For You---on her June 25th post. Judy took a plain white plate and using a marker wrote a phrase on it. Her marker was not permanent. she is able to change her phrase. I loved the idea sooo much--I wanted to make one too. So I started looking for a plate--found a white platter at a sale but couldn't bring myself to write on it. I found these at TJMaxx and loved the shape of them. Wrote on them with a permanent marker and this is what I came up with.... It stayed here--leaning against the wall until Mr. Ken could help with the hanging.
Ta Da!!! Here is my
plate hanger up on the
wall by our couch.
Love it!!!
Project 2--
I picked up this straw bag
at Target early in the summer
for 2.00 in the $ spot!
The print on the lining is
soo much fun. The colors
are sooo yummy together.
Here is THE finished product!
I found some ribbon at Joann's
that actually matched the lining.
The handles were too scratchy so
I covered them, put ribbon around
the top edge and made a flower for
the bottom. You can't see it but in
in the middle of the flower, I glued
two buttoms to match the colors.
Isn't she pretty????
