On the Side
Sunday Savor
**************
Sunday's will be bringing
you an EASY recipe to enjoy.
So pull up a chair and relax.
*****************************
Today's recipe:
Easy Mac and Cheese---
From the Kitchen of Mel
~~2 C of macaroni (your choice)
~~Any seasoning you like (I use
a no salt seasoning mix-amount
is up to you)
~~1 1/2 C of milk (more if you like
soupy mac)
~~2 T of butter
~~1 T of dried parsley
Cook macaroni according to
package directions and drain.
Return to pan -- add milk and
butter. Stir together to get the
consistency you like. Add the
cheese--let it melt and the stir
together again. Make sure you
watch the cheese melt so as not
to burn. If you need to add more
milk or butter do so at this time.
Stir in the parsley.
Turn off the heat and let set for
a couple of minutes.
Serve with your favorite main
dish or vegetable.
********************************
This is more of an "approximately"
recipe-depends on your likes and
dislikes.

Is there anything more comforting than mac and cheese in all of its variations?
ReplyDeleteHave a comforting week!
Best,
Bonnie
This looks great. I know what I'm cooking this week.
ReplyDeleteHi Melinda! that sounds good and easy, just what i need!lovely week
ReplyDeleteMorning Melinda. I agree...that does look wonderful and it is my most favorite comfort food.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything's going well at school. I start next Monday, 8/30; it will be wonderful to see my work friends, cool to meet the new students and find out my schedule, but a bummer to actually have to get up before the crack of whenever-I-want. Oh well. Tally ho.
My kids love Mac and cheese....Looks good!
ReplyDeleteI do hope your school year has been great so far. A funny thing, I always pray that my girls will have good, smart, kids in their classes. A whole year with a difficult child can be very long!
Later...
Shug
That looks really good!!!
ReplyDeleteI love mac and cheese so I am definitely going to have to try that recipe - thanks for sharing it!!!
Poor old Hubby had a wisdom tooth pulled this morn' and I'm makin' him some 'soft' mac and cheese for supper. I'm throwin' in some peas for veggies and a can of tuna for added protein. Hopefully it will look as delicious as yours and be a soft chew!
ReplyDeleteGod bless ya and have a great week!!! :o)
I dont have any dislike with this recipe Melinda! Perfect for a cool day like today here in Brisbane! Thanks for all your well wishes for my new shop. Sorry if I have been a little absent of late xx
