Famous Women---B

Our Famous B is:

Beatrix Potter (1866-1943)

Quick facts:

Raised and educated by governesses.

Enjoyed drawing and painting, she
often made drew of her pets.

Later in life, she was invited to
study Fungi at the Royal Botanical
Gardens of Kew.

Ms. Potter published The Tales of
Peter Rabbit on her own after it
was rejected by a publisher.
After seeing it's success with her
family and friends the same publisher
decided to publish it for others to
read and enjoy.

There is so much more out there about
Ms. Potter. If she has intrigued you
Google her.

Tomorrow will introduce you to
Famous C.
