Q is for:
Quilts
You may remember this one form the Quilt
exhibit that I went to late last year.
I love quilts because each one tells a story.
Quilts are usually made from scraps, shirts,
dresses etc but new fabric is used also.
Quilts are given to new parents, newlyweds,
graduates and they are given in memory of
someone who has passed.
I'm sure there are other occasions quilts are
made for.
Quilt exhibits are fun because of the history
involved, quilts connect us to the past for
sure. But when given to a newborn, the
future begins.
R races in next.
~Keep on Dreaming~
I love quilts too, Melinda, and have a few that are tattered and torn that were made many years ago by my paternal grandmother, and I do cherish them. the thoughts about quilts connecting us to the past, and the newborn quilts to the future is so true.
