D is for:
Daffodils
Our local grocery floral department
had these for Easter. Picked up two
bunches. One for us and one for our
neighbor.
They are a favorite cause they just
say "SPRING." Plus they are so
bright, cheerful and pretty. As I write
this, there is such a nice smell wafting
from them.
According to Wikipedia, they are a
genus of the Narcissus. I didn't know
this. There are OVER 13,000
distinct Daffodil varieties.
Mine are Trumpet Daffodils. Love
them!
E is on the agenda for the next
post.
~Keep on Dreaming~
I love them!
ReplyDeleteMy mother's kitchen was yellow with daffodils when I was young. Always makes me happy when I see them. Have a cozy evening!
They sure are cheerful.
DeleteYellow kitchens are awesome.
Enjoy your evening!

Your grocery store daffodils are beautiful, Melinda. I know spring is around the corner when the bunches of daffodils start appearing along the roadside in my part of Virginia.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThey are definitely a sure
sign of Spring.
