O' Tannenbaum

It is National Christmas Tree
Week!

Which do your prefer:

Fresh?
Artificial?

Flocked?
Unflocked?

Small (table top)
Medium
Large

How many trees do you put up?

Do you have a theme?

Specific colors?

For US we have one LARGE
tree, a table top tinsel tree,
one Fiber Optic tree and our
new tree for this year-- one 6 ft
Skinny tree from Jo Ann's after
Christmas last year -70 % off!
I don't put all of them up but
alternate from year to year.
If we like the skinny tree it might
be the "go to" tree each year.

Let the decorating begin!!

  1. I don't have a tree in my apartment, but we have a very big -- 18 foot artificial tree -- in our lobby. It just went up today and it's a big job. New York City banned live trees in public interior spaces a few years ago because of fire concerns. The friends I spend Christmas Day with always have a big live tree and I so enjoy it. I've got snowmen all over and I'm going to do a post on Saturday with pictures.

    1. I bet the tree in your lobby is beautiful.
      Sometimes enjoying someone else's tree
      is nice too.

  2. You always have such fun posts!!
As the years have moved on, we tend to simplify Christmas, more and more.
We used to put up 7 trees!!! Ridiculous right??!!

We have a smaller tree we decorate these days, and one of these years, I'd like to get a skinny tree, or a table top tree.

    Warm wishes..

Oh my, seven trees! I just can't imagine.

I like our table top tinsel tree and am looking forward to my new tree this year.

  3. We got a tall one in the family room. A sort of gift from our daughter who moved into a smaller apartment. And we have a small, table top on that I wife made in a ceramic's class and I think that is it so far.

    1. Two sounds like a nice number of trees.
I bet the one your wife made is great.

  4. Well, that might depend on what you count as trees. :-) We have one big tree in the living room and one little tree in the dining room. And then we have a gazillion OTHER trees: ceramic tree, bottle brush trees, tree brooches, wax trees, quilted fabric trees, felt trees, glass trees, etc... I bet you can tell that I LOVE Christmas trees. :-) We used to always have a fresh tree, until the year that our tree sucked up so much water and got so heavy that it fell over in the middle of the night. (We thought someone had broken into our house.) Now we have a fake tree and tree scented candles. :-)

    1. Never in my wildest dreams would have figured out that you LOVE Christmas trees! : )
We had a tree fall over mid decorating, that is how
we acquired the LARGE tree we have now!

  5. I'm ashamed to say I have TWO up... but that's down from seven the year we lived in the Victorian house in Leavenworth!

    1. You shouldn't be ashamed to have two trees.
Everyone enjoys the season their way.

  6. We've gone to an artificial tree in the past few years, which is something I thought I would never do. But without kids in the home, Christmas and decorating isn't as big a thing anymore. As for getting a fake tree, well, all the other decorations are fake, so why not the tree? It's not as pretty and certainly doesn't smell as good, but it also doesn't need to be watered, nor does it leave needles all over the carpet.

  7. We have artificial trees due to my allergies.

It also helps not to have clea up a lot of
    needles.
