Garden Party---4
Good Afternoon friends!
Here we are at garden
four and I will tell you
ahead of time that this is
a fave! Lots to look at.
This garden is only three
years old and started with
a flat terrain, lots of weeds,
native field plants and a hedge
apple wind break.
We began the tour on the west
side of the house and were
greeted with this lovely planter.
We moved on to these
STUNNING raised beds-
three on this side. They
were filled with every
edible imaginable! Each
bed is made of manmade
stone.
Across from the raised beds
(above) this lovely side yard
was ready for it's close-up.
The homeowner had this
beautiful trellis dressed for
the day and ready for any
gardening that need to be
done.
A close-up of the garden
tools she keeps available.
Oh yea, and the pretty
purple clematis. :)
Veggies anyone?
All of the beds had these cute
chalkboard signs. This one
was in the third bed. I believe
she used chalkboard paint.
Didn't really want to climb
in the bed to get a really good
look. :0 Very clever though.
Mr. Ken was very facinated by
this area. He especially liked
the table they made from stone.
I am sure the children in this
family love this are of the yard!
Grown-ups need areas like this
too!
More creativity. Look closely
and you can see the metal
butterfly too.
This was hanging from one
of the trees in the backyard.
Lots of fun!
Here's a close-up. Complete
with a little BLING!!
One of the water features
in the yard. This was in
the backyard.
The patio table is set and
ready for guests. Off to the
right of the table is a small
seating area and the back-
door. As you step up to the
patio, there were three urns
with green plants in them.
As we moved towards the
east side of the house, we
saw this beautiful bird
bath "planted" with plants
and a geometric globe.
Another raised bed, this
time on the east side. The
sign says "Strawberries"
and lists the "picking time."
Too cute I say! There was
another bed just south of
this one.
As we leave the side yard
this lovely bids us goodbye.
The front stoop has this
blue urn ready for greet-
ing family and friends.
These Coral Bells lined the
front walk. We were told by
one of the Master Gardeners
that even though the front yard
faces south these do well here.
I love the color!
Whew we made it!! Thanks for
hanging in there. Did you like
it? Unbelievable that that garden
is only three years old!!!

So very pretty....it's takes a lot of hard work to make a place look like this. Kudos to the owners! It is my belief that a beautiful flower garden is like a healing tool for the soul.
ReplyDeleteSo true. Puttering in the yard and garden gives us time to slow down.

The stone table is really amazing. Quite a focal point.

More beautiful gardens to see......lucky you.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see the love that the gardeners have for their gardens, and all the special little touches that they incorporate.
