Yummy for the Tummy
Sunday Savor
***************
Sunday's will be bringing
you an easy recipe to enjoy.
So pull up a chair and relax.
*****************************
Today's Recipe:
Beef and Noodles
**From my kitchen**
**1 lb pkg. stew meat
**1/2-3/4 12 oz bag of noodles
**1 12 oz jar of Heinz Beef
Gravy--Savory Beef
**Your favorite seasoning
**Dried parsley
In a stew pot cook the beef with
your favorite seasoning until
almost tender. Remove meat from
pot and set aside. Add more water
and add the noodles--making sure
the water covers the noodles. Cook
until "aldente." Add the meat back
into the pot then the gravy--stir
together.
Cook until mixture becomes slightly
thicker. Add parsley and serve.

Looks good! Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI've never thought of cooking noodles in the water the meat was cooked in. It must add a tasty element to them. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Every Sunday my Nana used to make Beef and Noodles. My Mom was not very interested in cooking, so I REALLy looked forward to this :)

Yum!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're in bed...you've got school tomorrow. And what the heck was up with the technical difficulties...I'm beyond annoyed!
BTW...nice 9/11 post. We were at a church-sponsored event on 9/11, but watched the History Channel when we got home (after putting the little ones to bed). Chris questioned Mary seeing footage of the towers...I questioned him watching COPS while Ben is awake. Hmphf!!!
Anyway, where was I...serving as a brand-new teacher at FV Elem in Olathe. I was so confused by our bldg. principal coming on to the intercom and REQUESTING teachers to READ their email. I immediately knew something was wrong as reading email during instruction is a total no no! While I struggled to maintain my composure and act as if nothing was out of the ordinary, my 3rd graders knew something was up. I remember the fear I felt when the plane crashed into the Pentagon...and then the farmer's field in PA. All I could think was...is the midwest next?
Awful day. Awful. I pray Americans never forget.
What a wonderful way to cook noodles. It must make them really flavorful. Your stew sounds delicious. I hope you are having a great day. Blessings...Mary
