It's FRIDAY ! ! !
Good Evening Friends:
We have arrived at the end of another
week! Hurray! Hope yours was good one.
Today was our LAST field trip of the year!
YEA!
We took three special needs classes to the
park and went "camping." This trip is set
up each year by our adaptive PE teacher.
She really gets into this each year. Oh, boy.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Some of the activities to choose from were:
Tent assembly
Lawn games
A "nature hike" (complete with binoculars)
Playground fun
A picnic (everyone brought a sack lunch)
Fishing (with REAL poles AND WORMS)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
After lunch my buddy decided that
fishing was his activity of choice. Now, let
me insert here that I am NOT a "fisher-
woman" by any means. We tried for awhile
and got one nibble but he got away.
After a very long day everyone boarded the
bus and back to school we went. All the kids
had a great time. Three very tired classes
arrived back at school to end the day and go
home for the weekend.
Believe ME, I was soooooooooo ready to go
home.
Have a GREAT weekend!
This was a daytrip.....

It must have been a tyring day for you, i did that too when i was working ! it depends on how many children you are in charge, iwas certainly a nice day anyway! hugs Catherine
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!!! We always took our class out to a local lake where we had the use of paddle boats and fishing. We would roast hot dogs and marshmallows but never were we brave enough to spend the night! My hat's is off to ya sister!
ReplyDeleteThat's above and beyond the call of duty.
God bless and have a restful evening!!!
Oh wow, I bet that was fun!!!! Teachers are the best!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
I bet the kids loved that field trip soooo much even if it was a lot of work for you and your colleagues! What wonderful men and women you are to work with our special needs kiddos and provide them with these invaluable experiences!!!
ReplyDeleteWow...7.5 days and counting. I'm sure you're more than ready for a break. Let's get together soon!
Thanks so much for dropping by,
Val
Sounds exhausting but fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special way to celebrate a day, giving your time to these dear children. I am sure they will not forget it, even if you felt so tired from it. It would have been fun to watch you helping him to fish, knowing it is not your specialty. So happy the year is almost over for you.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are ready for summer. Are you? Is it time you to relax during the summer?
ReplyDeleteHave a great one!
Howdy
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing you are !
This sounds like my kind of day :)
Unless there are so many students you can't keep up than it is more like help me hang on to the end of my rope just a little longer .
This is truly a wonderful life moment for those who got the opportunity to go .
So many children never get to do the most basic outdoor things in life anymore.
I am so thrilled you had the chance to do this for them .
Thank you for your teachers heart .
Until next time
Big Texas hugs
Happy Trails
Thank you for your visit , have a nice week, hugs catherine
ReplyDeleteHi Lady!
ReplyDeleteYes, the destruction to our local town's landmark was devastating. You could see the tears in Mr. Zimmerman's eyes during the interview.
Soooo looking forward to getting together with you this summer. Just a few more days left...right?!!!
Mary graduates from PreK on Monday the 24th. I just know I'm going to be overwhelmed with emotion...as I can't believe my first born will be ready for kindergarten!!!
Thanks for dropping by!
