Happy Wednesday!
Here we are experiencing a "new norm"
in our lives. I am sure that navigating
this norm is as hard for you as it is for
us.
I left school last Thursday for break
looking to enjoy my much needed
break. We were told that break could
be extended, yesterday much to our
surprise the governor of Kansas closed
ALL schools till the end of the school
year! Rest assured I will still be paid
and will continue to receive my benefits,
which is a relief. But we don't get to see
our kids, our rooms and our coworkers.
They are working on online learning
for my kids not sure how that will look.
No graduations or proms either!
We had a mini family trip scheduled for
earlier this week, that was canceled but
Mr. Ken kept his days off. We got a couple
of projects accomplished since we are
isolating ourselves.
On the positive side, I have some crafty
fun to show you.
Facebook is bad, I joined a pg ad now have
a bazillion craft ideas. This was one. Dollar
Tree metal tub, lots of cotton balls and an
Easter duck from the Easter tub. Love my
duck in the tub. He is hanging out in the
bathroom of course.
I have had these in my stash for awhile,
at the time I bought them I had no idea
what I wanted them for. Flashforward
to a couple of weeks ago, on FB of course
I saw a video of a gal making carrots out
of hers. Ding ding that's what I'll do. So
I did.
Ta Da, aren't they cute? Will add more to
the tray when I get my Easter decorations
out.
Here's one of the projects Mr. Ken and I
finished yesterday. Before above.
After: I like the greenery but it is so hard
to keep dusted and I wanted something
fresh so we made a "lid " for the opening.
Now the area is a bit more versatile.
So with all this unexpected time off, surely
the laundry will get caught up and other
projects I want to do may get accomplished
too.
Wishing all of you the best as we travel this
road together. Maybe blogging will pick
back up! Ha! Ha!
~Keep on Dreaming~
I just love that duck in the tub. So cute. I suspect a lot of home projects are going to get done in the coming weeks. And my house is already cleaner than it's been in a long time, in just 5 days. I hope blogging picks up again, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I think he is pretty cute too.
DeleteI bet there will be ALOT of clean houses before we are done with this stuff.
I like your house projects, I will start one at my house this week. The duck in the bath tub is so cute, I thought it was marshmallows at first. Plus the clothes pin carrots are fun. Be well.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteLots of time for house projects for sure.
Take care.

Love it, you're never out of ideas and projects! Those carrots are so cute but that would send me over the edge trying to make them! Your project looks great, a clean look and easy to take care of. We were out and about a little today, Bill needed bird seed and I needed an emory board. You'd think the emory boards would be everywhere but took several stores to find some. Here's wishing the best to you and Mr. Ken, be safe!
ReplyDeleteThanks, it does seem like to smallest thing needed all of sudden EVERYONE needs.
DeleteTake care and be safe.

What fun crafty things you have created, Melinda! Would love to see a close-up of the carrots created out of the clothespins; awesome idea! Wow, on the school year being closed for the rest of the year! Take care and stay healthy!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I think if you click on the picture you should have a closer look.
DeleteHope you are well.
