Turkey Time

Three weeks from TODAY
is THANKSGIVING!
Can you believe it?

Are you hosting the
big feast this year?
If so, what are you
having?

If not, what will
you be doing for
the holiday?

We will going to
my brother-in-law's
house. He and his
wife have invited
the family to their
house this year.
We will be doing
something a little
different this year,
instead of a big
feast we will be
doing snacks and
finger foods.
Ken and I will have
a smaller dinner
during the holiday
break. Mashed
potatoes here I
come!!!!

  1. Sometimes, going somewhere else for Thanksgiving is as much fun as hosting! We are still undecided about our plans…but we are leaning to staying home and inviting the Grandparents to our house. With returning to work this year, I'm looking forward to several days off! Hugs.

  2. We have a small dinner here, just the two of us.. it's so quiet and peaceful. We fix things we like, and NOT turkey.. usually roast or roasted chicken.

to have some peace and quiet.
      Enjoy.

  4. Finger foods sound like a great idea! For twenty years I spent all day Wednesday cooking before traveling all day on Thursday to eat dinner. I don't want my family to go through that so we eat Thanksgiving out and eat pumpkin and pecan pie at home.

    1. Yea, I think it will be fine. Each of the families in our family can have their own big meal if they choose.
It can be a very tiring day to say the least!

  5. I'd be run out of town for serving finger food for Thanksgiving dinner and I won't be trying that! It sounds good though, but your dinner and mashed potato heaven sounds much better!
