As I was looking through this
issue I ran across this idea:
Pack a "ready to go "picnic basket
and leave in your car for those
impromptu picnics. Add a blanket,
pick up food on the way and you
have the makings for a great
outing.
Miss Martha recommends having
ready in your basket:
Dishes/Plates
Glasses
Flatware
Pocketknife
Serving Spoons
Corkscrew
S&P
Napkins
Wet wipes
I recommend:
Plastic bags for trash
in case there isn't a trash
bin available
Wet washcloths in ziplock
bags ( to do before you leave)
She also has neat ideas for
using bandanas. My thought
is using the inexpensive ones
and not the 0nes for $12.50
at Levis.

Excellent idea!

Great idea! I love picnics :)
ReplyDeleteDon't go on as many as when I was younger but maybe it's time to bring out the old basket again.
What a great idea for a sunny day & a lunch break from work or a day out thats unplanned
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool idea to keep everything at the ready. although I might think twice about keeping it in the car during the hottest days of our summer... cars turn into ovens. I love bandanas for napkins. (Oops, I wrote bananas. LOL. Had to fix that! ) The flowers came from OP, but we also go to RiverMarket.
ReplyDeleteI think this is an awesome idea!
ReplyDeleteYou have to love Miss Martha!
