Turmoil is one of the best times to reflect and be
thankful for what we have. Times are rough ALL
over and each of us have our burdens to bear
but the most important thing is that we are
truly blessed. Sometime we have a tendency
to look at that glass half empty instead of
half full. I'm as guilty as the next person.
But I think we all know how are glasses are filled.
~Keep on Dreaming~
Wonderful post! I think we all need to reflect on simple things right now. The ones that make us happy or content!

ReplyDeletePretty much everything makes me smile. I'm just that kinda gal, I get up perky and happy. No, no coffee for me thank you...that could be just plain dangerous!
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to everyone involved in the mass destruction in Haiti. You are a wonderful reminder of how much we have to smile about!
I appreciate you Melinda, have a great day counting you many blessings!!!
My list is so similar to yours except of course Ken would be replaced with Bob. =)

Hi Melinda.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by! We do have so much to be thankful for...especially here in the United States. Even if we are down and out on our luck, we have a federal gov't. (love it or hate it) that is effective and in place offering services in our time of need.
I have been known to view the glass half empty, but as I put my new philosophy in place and try to simplify and live with less is more, I find that I am so much happier.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Val
I'm with you, I think simple is always the best!
ReplyDeleteThis post hit the spot. Our hearts are in anguish for the Haitians. But for the Grace of God, it's not us, this time. But while things are good in our lives, let's count our blessings. Lets count them, even when things aren't quite so good. Even small things like clean sheets and warm weather should make us happy.
ReplyDeleteHI Melinda
ReplyDeleteMy surgery is on February the 22nd! Today, I got to buy a beautiful recliner, so that I can get in and out of it after my surgery. Most of our chairs right now don't have the support I need. I can't wait to get it this coming Friday :)
I smil a lot when I read your blog Melinda. xxx
