This morning I threw some old bread out for the birds. It didn't take long before several swooped in for lunch. I'm not sure what kind of radar birds have where bread is concerned but they sure know when there is bread in the yard.
Mr. Ken and I had a "deck lunch" today and while we were eating Funny Bunny snuck up on the birds and enjoyed some bread along with the birds. "She" kept eating as the birds were
doing their dance around the bread. One would get a nibble fly away and the next bird would get a nibble. They are soooo funny--one bird had it worked out to where another bird fed it!!!!!
Oh, to be a bird!

Hi Belinda! Thanks for stopping by my blog. My husband grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. It was fun seeing the neighborhood where he lived as a boy and hearing all the stories.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I wonder if birds have a radar for bread? When we were at the shore, we would see one seagull, bring out the bread, and were swarmed. So funny.
Nothing beats watching woodland creatures! I feel so lucky to see birds, rabbits, squirrels and CHIPMUNKS. Makes me feel like I'm living in a Beatrix Potter cottage. We do refer the the squirrels here at Acorn Cottage and squirrel-nutkins! My favorite time is sitting on the bak porch watch all the creatures and their antics!
ReplyDeletei thought i was going crazy that day. I swore that i saw bread being thrown from your back deck but then when i looked again i didn't see anyone out there. Funny!!!
