Chips anyone!
Summer Salsa -there is nothing like it! Below you
will find a most delish recipe for...you got it.
SALSA!
30 cherry tomatoes-cut in 1/2
7-12 jalapeno and/or sorreno peppers-cut
in 1/2 (depending on taste seed or deseed)
1/4-1/2 white onion-sliced
3-4 cilantro stems (more if you like)
3 cloves of garlic
Salt to your taste
Place tomatoes and peppers face down on a
cooking sheet or grill griddle. Broil or grill until
they are charred to your liking. When cool remove the seeds if you want to. The onion and the garlic can also be "charred". Leave the peel on the garlic while charring.
For a more "rustic salsa" chop all ingredients, use the juices that are left and mix together.
For a more "smooth salsa" puree all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
Stop when it is the consistency that you like.
When finished spoon into the jar and refrigerate .
Enjoy! Makes 1-12 oz BALL JAR
