Hello and Happy Monday!
Well, we made some progress on the
kitchen project. Paint was put on the
walls. These are not the colors we had
initially chose. I wanted red on top and
an "oatmeal on the bottom. But who knew
red was so hard to paint with????? So after
much fussing and some words being said.
The colors were changed. These were taken
yesterday. The top was finished and the
bottom coat was drying.
TA DA both colors are done! There will be
a chair rail added and vertical slats added
to these two walls. The hall(s) peeking
behind the yellow towel will be the top
color. Click on the pic for a larger view.
Paint Colors--Top: Sunbaked
Bottom: Pale Blush
Trim, baseboards, window and
ceiling will be be Honey Vanilla-
a very light color.
Hoping the kitchen will be close to
complete by the time I go back to school
a week from today.
Changing gears on colors was tough. I
really wanted red but that was not in
the cards. It will be pulled in with decor.
Hope everyone is doing well.
~Keep on Dreaming~
So nice to have that big project done! Well, except for the trim, that's a big project, too. I like the colors you chose. "Sunbaked adobe" -- love that name. I had a red wall in one of our houses and it too MULTIPLE coats of paint to get it right. I always felt sorry for the people that moved in after us:( I'm sure it took a lot of coats to cover.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I knew it probably would take several but we couldn't even get one to look right!
DeleteI am sure they had fun with that.
Today I pulled off the rest of the tape and did some tough up work.
We still have the soffit to do, trim etc and the halls. Someday it will be compete.
