Hello Everyone!
Well, the "BIG T" day is just
around the corner. Two weeks
from tomorrow!! Are you ready?
With that in mind, I thought we
would talk traditions today.
I found some very interesting
ones on the internet.
1. Have a Paintball Tournament
the day after Thanksgiving instead
of watching sports.
2. A Spoon Contest--balance
a spoon on your nose.
3. Turkey day PJ's. Wear your
PJ's while celebrating. Invite your
guests to wear theirs too!
4. Christmas crafting. Start on those
Christmas presents while visiting
with family.
5. Instead of turkey as the main
entree some serve chicken, pizza,
Chinese take out, ham, prime rib,
crab legs or some make
RESERVATIONS.
What are your Traditions for
this special holiday?
We are pretty "traditional" for
Thanksgiving. Some years we
host--making the turkey and
mashed potatoes and others
bringing the rest of the goodies,
some years we head out to
one of the brother's home and
bring our contribution.
Mr. Ken and I will have a small
dinner on Thanksgiving day with
ham and all the fixings and yes
there will be pie!
The day after, we are off to Mr.
Ken's brother and fiance's for a
family meal and we will be
bringing the veggie platter and
rolls.
When we host, it is usually
buffet style due to the amount of
people hanging out. Paper plates
help with the clean up.
We also have done the going out
thing too, the meal was good BUT
I missed the leftovers!!
~Keep on Dreaming~
I will be missing my Dad this year. Since moving in our house 15 yrs ago they would come over every Thanksgiving. But I will still have my immediate family over and yes we love leftovers too.

first holidays are tough after losing someone.
ReplyDeleteChristmas is still tough for me even though my Mom has been gone for 8 years. It gets easier but...
Leftovers are a MUST!!!
