Spring Cleaning---Part 3
Wednesday's tip:
Cleaning Shortcuts--
Use less cleaner
To make window, wash
and dish cleaners last longer
fill a spray bottle halfway with
water then top off with your
cleaner. Shake to mix.
Stop scrubbing
Before you clean the bathroom,
turn on the shower to HOT,
close the door for a few minutes.
The steam will loosen grime or
mildew so it's quicker and easier
to wipe clean.
For the microwave, fill a bowl with
water, heat up the water causing
steam inside the microwave and
then wipe clean.
Any other ideas???
While you are using the clock
method to clean (see Monday's
post)
Speed clean like a Pro
Dust first--let the dust settle
Wipe down glass, mirrors
and other surfaces
Vacuum last

post for Part 2.

Spring Cleaning---Part 2
Tuesday's tip:
Did you know that 70 pounds
of clothing is thrown away each
year?
That would be a lot if we all
threw away the clothes we
didn't want anymore.
What do you do with yours?
We donate to thrift stores
here that help others.
ie: Salvation Army, Goodwill.
Redracks, Savers and Catholic
Charities.
This is a great time of year to
go through your Spring/
Summer clothes and donate
those items you won't be
wearing this season.
Sorry, I was under the "allergy
umbrella" yesterday and didn't
feel up to posting.
Stay tuned for part three, it will
be posted separately, since I am
having posting issues.
Addition: This is my 900th
post!!!! Wow, hard to believe.

Spring Cleaning ---Part 1
Hello!
This week we are going to have
a series on Spring Cleaning.
I am sure that a lot of you have
accomplished this already, at our
house not so much. School takes
a lot of me this time of year
so we do "Summer cleaning."
Monday's tip:
Clean by the clock--
In each room start where you
see 12 o'clock being and work
around the room.
Complete each area before
moving to the next area.

Three R's
Tomorrow is Earth Day.
A day to celebrate our planet.
What can we do for our planet you
ask?
Well, I have three words for you.
Recycle
Reuse
Repurpose
Let's try to keep our planet clean
for the next generations to come.

The Hills are Alive...

Happy 50th Anniversary
Sound of Music!
In my vast knowledge bank,
I did not know that this was
originally a Broadway Production
starring Mary Martin and Theodore
Bikel. It was a five time winner at
the 14th Annual Tony Awards.
The Broadway version was adapted
as a film musical in 1965 starring
Julie Andrews and Christopher
Plummer. It won five Academy
Awards. This is the one I remember
as a child and continue
to enjoy as an adult.
My favorite scenes are:
The thunderstorm and the song
"My Favorite Things."
The children running about town
and climbing trees in clothes she
made from their drapes.
When Maria and the Captain
realize that they are in love.
When Elsa leaves because the
Captain doesn't love her.
When the Nuns "fix" the
Nazi's car so it won't run.
As much as I have seen this,
I still think the Nazis are
going to capture them but
NO they get away and move
on.

A Small Confession

terminology ) a SLUMP!!!

my brain is focused on
finishing the school year.
So please accept my apology
for being MIA right now.
Hang with me I will be
BACK.

Oh Yum!
Hi friends!
I am back at it. Still fighting with these
horrid allergies though! Yuck.
Thanks again for well the "Well Wishes."
Sunday Savor has a bit of a twist today
so pull up a chair and relax.
Today is:
National Grilled Cheese Day!
A comfort food for most and
a must have for most children
and my husband.
The Ancient Romans were the
first to make a cooked bread
and cheese sandwich, but many
cultures have created their own
versions.
The classic version we know today
appeared in the 1920's when bread
and cheese were affordable.
It is popular selection in many diners,
cafe's, schools and homes. Though it
is usually made with three ingredients,
some "dress" it up.
Add ons:
Bacon
Ham
Other cheeses
Sides:
Tomato Soup
Chips
Salad
How do you make a grilled cheese?
I am a classic lover from way back
but do enjoy bacon or ham on it too.
Enjoy a Grilled Cheese today!

Mr. Ken and I wish you a day
full of family, fellowship, food
AND fun!!!
I leave you with two Easter
jokes:
1. Why did the Easter egg
hide?
2. How do rabbits travel ?
Answer # 1 -- He was a little
chicken.
Answer # 2 -- By hareplane.

An Easter Outing
Last Saturday afternoon,
Ken, his brother, his girl-
friend and I went to the
Country Club Plaza to see
"THE BUNNIES!"
I'm not too sure about the
characters on each side of
this young lady????
Ken's brother, Gregg and
his girlfriend Julie. She
had never been down to
see the bunnies! She was
a hoot!!
These two are a couple
NOT to be trusted! : )
The GALS.
The GUYS.
Two wild and crazy GALS!!!
Our reward for all the walking
that we did. A stop at The Cheese-
cake Factory. Three Cherry cheese-
cakes and one Red Velvet. Heaven!!!
The FAB Four plus one.
We had a great time and
the weather was sooo nice.
