M is for AND N is for...

M is for...

Harvest Moon

This year's Harvest Moon was
early--Sept. 8-9. It was a Super
Moon too!

A Harvst Moon is the moon
closest to the Autumanl Equinox.

Back in the day, the light from the
moon helped farmers gather their
crops.

Mums

These come in a variety of
colors. I prefer the burgudy
or the fuchisa colored ones.
I have a small burgundy one
on my porch, looking to get a
couple more. These are
a real reminder that Fall is
here.

N is for...

The month of November

A good month if you happen
to have a birthday in it. :)
Thanksgiving is good too.
Bring on the mashed potatoes!!!!

N is for...

Nuts

No, not my state of mind!

These remind me of my Mom,
in the Fall she would by these
by the bag fulls and then get
out the little silver nutcracker,
the "pick" and the bowl for
shells. Then she would put them
on the coffee table for all to enjoy.

Come on back tomorrow for O.

  1. Fun post :)

My parents also bought nuts in the shell, and in bulk around the holiday season. It was always a fun competition to see who could crack the nut shell and get the nuts our whole.

  2. Hi Melinda. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've enjoyed reading through your posts on the alphabet. So fun. Kerin and I are blog friends but we had a home down the street from each other until she moved. I look forward to reading more of your posts.
