It's Coming!!!!!!

Somehow I missed posting
yesterday. First day back
to school after being sick,
I'm sure that was the reason.
Ha! Ha!

Well here we are, just under
10 days until the BIG Halloween
fun!

Did you know--

8 billion dollars is how much is
spent on Halloween. Oh my!

A typical family spends $80 on decorations, costumes and treats.
This seems a little low to me. One
can spend 80 bucks on candy alone
or on costumes etc.

60%  of Americans decorate their
homes with fake cobwebs, spooky skeletons, lights etc.

Are you ready??

  1. Our town does a trunk-or-treat, so there aren't really any door to door trick-or-treaters.
I'm sure we'll stock up on candy... just in case **grin*.

Glad you are back to school, and feeling better.

    Warm wishes...

  2. Not ready at all! LOL Returning to work as taken a bit of an adjustment and something had to give...my holiday decor! LOL Fortunately, I am able to recycle last year's Halloween costumes...if you recall, my kids came down with Fifths Disease and got sent home from school just hours before their Halloween parties. Since I hand-made their Saint costumes, I made them large and am able to use them again!

  3. it is hard to believe how much is spent at Halloween. I have pumpkins out in the front of the house, but NOTHING inside. Not sure I'll do that this year since we are already a FULL house right now!! we will see...

    1. It IS amazing how much people spend on Halloween. Sometimes decor goes out the window when necessary.

  5. We have a neighborhood near us that is inundated every year with the whole town. One of the people there told me that they spend in excess of $150. for candy. That seems a bit low to me since the whole town turns out. It's a great place to go plus each house decorates to the max. Some have fires going out front and everyone sitting around the fire. There's a reason everyone goes there! :) Your friend, Linda - I'm as busy as a one armed paper hanger-to quote one of my friends. ha ha
