This evening Ken went with a buddy
to play pool and I took advantage of
that time for "me" time. All week
(as if I have had the time) I have been
thinking about "comfort foods", I
blame this on the changes in the
weather and the upcoming time change
on Sunday morning.
So, I got out some of my recipe "messes"
and cleaned them up--choosing ones
that were tried and true and ones
that I think I will really try. I got rid
of the ones I knew were "no-gos."
I think I mentioned sometime this
past summer that I am trying hard
to get my recipes under control.
As you can see in the second photo
I have a really nice recipe notebook
that was given to me by one of my co-
worker's. It came with dividers, page
protectors, recipe cards and some
labels.
Main dishes was the category of choice-
I wanted to find some of my soup and
casserole recipes for the upcoming
weekend and the new work week.
I found some BUT I know I have more!
I have way too many recipes. But I am
trying at least. Control will reign soon.

I would like to THANK YOU for all of
the wonderful Birthday wishes that
each of you sent. It means a lot to have
such a thoughtful group of friends. :)
~Keep on Dreaming~
Ahhhh, Me time. Don`t you just love it?
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of soup recipes all week. I think carrot ginger is top on my list.
ReplyDeleteMelinda, I have probably sixty cookbooks and at least four recipe card files that I inherited from people who could actually cook. I really need to get it under control too. Right now it's all just taking up a cupboard in my kitchen. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteOh Malinda...I so need to do this!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love cookbooks and recipes, but sometimes you can get overwhelmed by having so many..this causes me to forget about some of the really good ones that I liked...
You are an inspiration, and I am going to get busy going through my stacks of recipes..
Hugs,
