Back in July we went to the
Great Midwest Balloon Fest.
Some of you may remember
that last year we dealt with
thunderstorms and did not
get to see much. This year's
event was held at a different
venue and earlier in the year.
Much better!
There were several food
vendors, games for the kids,
tethered ballon rides, lift offs
when weather permitted and
at night there was a balloon
glow--this is where they
blow up the balloons and
all together light them up.
Great fun and most of it was
FREE!!!! Scroll down and check

I have riding in a hot air balloon on my bucket list...I think they are interesting..and when they are illuminated they are beautiful!

We've got MIL settled in Assisted Livin', the choppin' crew pulled in early this mornin' and are still hard at it. Workin' on emptying that big old farmhouse. Corn harvest next and a trip to TX but believe it or not...I do believe I'm seein' a wee little light at the end of the tunnel.
