Oh Momma!!!

Storm number two arrived on Tuesday am.
This was AFTER we got snow last Thursday and Friday. Storm one brought around 12 inches and number two brought around 8 inches. As you can see this storm
brought a heavy wet snow.

That would be Ken's car under all that
snow AND the tree limb. A neighbor came
over to let us know about the tree limb.

The stuff stuck to EVERYTHING!

Remember this guy from the last storm?
Well, Mother Nature felt he needed a bit
more snow this go around.

A birdfeeeder wears a festive winter hat.
That's a clothesline at the top left sagging
under the weight of the snow.

A look out the guest room window.

The bush looks like a bag of BIG
Gigantic cotton balls was dumped
on it.

Remnants of storms one and two.
This is on the west side of the driveway.

Here is "Nanook of the Midwest" getting
ready to dig us out for  the second time.

Huh????

5 things to do with Toothpaste

1. Apply a pea size drop on a
bug bite. It has an ingredient
that has a cooling and numbing
effect on your skin.

2. Get food smells off your fingers
by squirting some paste on a damp
cloth and lather up. It eliminates
odors on your hands just as it does
for you mouth.

3. Been coloring on your walls?
Use a cloth and some paste to clear
away those marks. The gritty texture
will cut through waxy residue.

4. Want to hang artwork?
Hang posters by dabbing the corners
with the paste. Position and stick on
the wall. When you are ready to remove, carefully peel away from the wall and
rub away the paste with a damp cloth.

5. Clean any buildup on your fave
jewelry by
rubbing a small amount
on with a soft brush on your fingers.
Rinse well with warm water.
DON'T USE ON DELICATE ITEMS.

Did you know ???
Before Johnson and Johnson
put toothpaste into tubes in 1873,
it was sold in glass jars. The change
was made to make it easier to use
when traveling.

A Little Fun

Here in the Midwest we are in the
bullseye from another Winter Storm!
The weather dudes and dudettes are
saying that we could possibly get
somewhere between 8-15 " of snow!
If we get that much I guess we will
enough to make snow angels. These
are fun to make but I never got
the hang of getting up from one
without messing it up. I read some-
where these ideas for making them
even better.

1. Paint it using spray bottles of  water
tinted with food coloring.
2. Sprinkle on a birdseed design.
3. Decorate it with natural elements,
twigs, evergreens, pinecones etc.

Enjoy!

A Fun, Festive and Frigid Day

At 6:20 this morning Winter returned with a Blast!
WE had thunder, lighting, wind and 12" of snow. THEN we had freezing rain, more snow at 5:00 with one more band coming through as I type this.

At 9:00 the snow began to fall and accumulate on everything.

At 9:13, the wind picked up and the snow began to blow!!

In the afternoon we had a bit of a break in the action but it began again just before 5:00 p.m.

More snow blowing around.

Here is the deck almost 12 hours from
the first picture taken.

Mother Nature sure had a party here today! She successfully shutdown a major city and those cities surrounding it,  Everyone was encouraged to STAY home and most did but the news reported lots of problems on the roads and highways. Ken was home and they
called school last night, There will not be school tomorrow and Ken is wating to see if the county will open tomorrow. What a day!
Chili in the crockpot, cookies were made and cornbread too. Now we will snuggle in for the night and see what tomorrow brings.
