Let the Month Begin

Happy May!

Truthfully I never thought it would get here.
This has been a tough school year in a different
way than last and frankly I am D. O. N. E. I
have 17 1/2  days left but if you want to get
technical, I have Friday off so I guess 16 1/2
days left in this crazy school year.

We had such great weather this past weekend,
a lot of time spent outside. As you can see my
Iris' have bloomed! My neighbor gave me these
2 or 3  years ago and I plopped them in the
ground hoping they would come back. Last
Spring I had some but this time around I have
more. Lucky me. Got a lot of my pots placed
in the front and back and then decided I needed
more so off I went to get more. Ha! But I
was so busy cleaning, rearranging and updating
the deck for this season that I did not get them
planted.

We had new gutters put on the house and there
was some clean up form that, though they were
very good cleaning up their mess. Tomorrow
we get gutter covers!!! Mr. Ken will be a happy
guy then. It will be nice not to have to worry
about filled gutters.

We are going on a road trip! Yep, I said it ROAD
TRIP. We are heading to Oklahoma this Friday
to see Mr. Ken's sister and her family. We have
not it seen them in a looooong time. We'll be
hanging out at their house, so no hotel worries.
Looking forward to getting away for a bit!

Hope everyone is doing well, able to get out and
about and feeling comfortable to do so. We are
still a bit cautious but taking baby steps here and
there.

Hopefully I 'll be back this week before we head
out.

Yep, get it done. Hard, hard year.
We are very excited about not fighting with full gutters.

  3. My neighbor gave me iris last year and I haven't seen them yet:( I'm wondering if they're just slow or I didn't plant them in enough sun. Yours are sure pretty.

Have a great time on the road trip! I'm itching to go somewhere. Take lots of pictures!
