We sing a song in Kindergarten about
the days of the week to the Adam's
Family tune. So sing along with me!
There's Sunday and there's Monday,
there's Tuesday and there's Wednesday,
there's Thursday and there's Friday and
then there's Saturday. Days of the week
snap, snap. Days of the week, snap snap.
Days of the week, days, of the week, days
of the week snap, snap.
Instead of using the dry erase method, I use
my sticky notes for each day on my planner.
This way if there is a change in plans I can
switch days without having to erase and
re-write the menu for that day.
This has been an organizing wonder as I said.
I don't write each and every little thing we are eating each evening but I do put the main course and maybe one other thing on the note.
The only issue I have with the planner is,
I think it may be stuck to my refrigerator FOREVER! I've tried a couple of time to
move it and NOPE not happening.
Oh well.
How do you do your menu planning??

How clever! Staples is a great place and I will check it out. I love your handwriting, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a very organized menu planner. I see what's on sale at the grocery and try to have a few things in mind. I'm not at all sure what next week holds and need to look at recipes this evening.
ReplyDeleteI can tell you are a teacher.... Teachers are so organized. My two daughters are for sure. Hmmmm....I might need to go back o school and become a teacher so I can get organized. Good job!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. Another thing I like with the idea of the sticky notes is that you can save them and put them in the household binder and watch how often the meals are being eaten...or when to try a new recipe. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteI agree, you have pretty handwriting. I really like this idea. My meal planning method is write a list of menus for the week and put it on the fridge. I start out with something specific for each day of the week, but usually end up drawing arrows and moving around the meal plan. But at least I have a good starting point.
ReplyDeleteThat is so darned organized. I have to say I have no meal plan but my niece does. She plans all her meals for the week on Sunday. Well, you're the best! Linda

I like this so much, I'm going to go look for one. I especially like the sticky notes. I'm not fond of dry erase. (And I love your alternating colors).
