Do you recognize these little fellas? Did you
catch them in a jar when you were a child?

Tonight as Ken and I were sitting outside,
I saw my first lighting bug of the season.
When I see these they bring a smile to my
face and I know that summer is on it's way.
Now I know that summer is coming but
seeing these just gives me the reminder.
Next time you are outside at night see if
they have arrived in your neighborhood.

Have a great Friday!
Tomorrow we'll see if Mr. Ken can do his
post that he said he would do.
~Keep on Dreaming~
I love fireflies! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe used to catch them, but we don't have them in CA. I think the cold fog must keep them out of the area.
ReplyDeleteI have to get my kids to the Midwest to share lightening bugs with them.
Is hubby doing better? My prayers are with you both!
I've seen lightning bugs when I was visiting relatives in Illinois as a kid. They're awesome!
ReplyDelete:-D
ReplyDeleteSeeing lightening bugs always reminds me of my childhood. Even then Summer was my favorite season. Last night I sat on the back patio with hubby and my daughter Mallory and we were looking for LB's. Didn't see any yet!

We dont have fire flies here in Australia, but boy I wish we did, they just look magical.
ReplyDeleteWe love the fireflies at our house! But I don't remember them as a kid. I'm sure they must have been around but maybe not where we lived when I was younger. I'm so glad my son now will have memories of them. There is something so magical about them!
