Hello All!
Popping in to let you know that I am
taking part in a blog challenge. For
the month of April I will be posting
everyday except on Sundays.
My theme will be Educational related.
Imagine that. :)
I will cover a variety of topics relating
to the field of Special Education plus
I'll throw in some songs, art and books.
My goal is that my readers will learn
something that they didn't know and
pick up ideas that can be passed on to
those they know that might be able to
use them.
I promise that we will have fun!!!
First post will be on April 1st--stay tuned.

Good Evening my friends!
I hope everyone has had a
nice Good Friday.
I can't believe that Easter week-
end has arrived! It just doesn't
seem time for it. I am not big on
Easter in March. When it is in
April there is a bit longer to plan
for the big day.
What about you?
Mr. Ken and I would like to wish
everyone a blessed Easter. May it
be filled with the blessings of the
the day and filled with family,
friends, food, fun and fellowship.

So, while I have been on Spring Break
I got a bit crafty.
I wanted some St. Patty's plates but
could not find any so I made my own
from plates from the Dollar Tree.
I just used a Sharpie to write each
saying on the plate. I added gold
dots in the shamrock for some
bling.
For this plate, I found an Irish saying.
I was very pleased with these.
Found this cute garland at JoAnn's.
Thought I could just hang it up but
noooo, I had to string the darn
thing first. Pretty cute huh?
So, if you remember my yarn heart
from Valentine's, this will look
familiar.
I cut out my version of an egg (it
got squished) bought some
variegated yarn in spring colors
and started wrapping it around
my cutout.
I added some eggs for bling and a
ribbon then hung it on the front
door. Cutting out eggs from card-
board is not easy.

Here is the Misc. I am so happy
with it.
For those who did not see this on
Facebook, one of the gals that
I work with is beginning to down
size her home and she was giving
away several pieces of furniture.
Yes, I said giving away.
I am the happy recipient of this
little beauty.
Above is a daytime shot. On top I
have a poured sand sculpture from
Arizona and a statue from New Mexico.
The other item is a flower ball that my
Mom gave me years ago.I am not really
sure what it is made from though.
This is a nighttime shot, love the light
on the inside.
On the top shelf I have two tea sets
from my Mom and one from a friend
plus a teacup. I collected them along
time ago but have since stopped.
The second shelf has two figurines
from when Mr. Ken and I got married,
a quartz rock from a vacation and my
"Welcome" house blocks.
The "floor" of the cabinet holds a
picture of Mr. Ken's parents, one of us
and one of my Mom.
So happy to have this fun addition to our
living room and to think I got it for FREE!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
(a wee bit early)
Wear green--so you don't get pinched.
Watch a parade.
Dance a jig
Enjoy the day!!
And of course, cannot leave without
some St. Pat's humor...
1. What do you get when you cross
poison ivy with a four leaf clover?
2. What do you get when you do the
Irish jig at McDonald's?
3. What is Irish and stays out all
night?
4. How did the Irish jig get started?
5. Are people jealous of the Irish?
Answers...
1. A rash of good luck.
2. A Shamrock shake.
3. Paddy O'furniture.
4. Too much drink and not enough
restrooms!
5. Sure, they're green with envy!

Hello Everyone!
Spring Break is here and over
the weekend we went to one
of our favorite stores for garden
goodies. Potato seedlings and
onion sets. Plus some dried
spices.
This store has everything a
gardener would want and then
some.
Down the street from Planters
Seed is as the picture shows---
City Market, in the summer this
is a rock'n place. Lots of vendors
with fresh veggies and fruits.
Back at Planters Seed, customers
can get a start on their flower
gardens too.
Some of the Spring fun in their
windows.
Bessie is ready for the Easter parade
with her bunny ears on her head.
I think Peter was on the hunt for
some carrots.
Around the corner, this cute place
was calling...
So many choices.

Today we "celebrate the social,
economic, cultural and political
achievements of women globally."
Enjoy!!!

And that guy is Dr. Seuss!
A favorite from my childhood
and today.
All sorts of celebrating went on
today is schools and libraries and
many are learning who this
fabulous man was and what he
did for the world of reading.
I could not have said it better
myself.
Did you enjoy these books as
a child? have you read them
to your grandchildren, nieces
and nephews?
Which ones did you enjoy??
Some of mine are:
Hop on Pop
Greens Eggs and Ham
One Fish, Two Fish, Red
Fish, Blue Fish.
Such fun memories from
childhood.
