Famous Women---A

Today we begin the A to Z Blogging
Challenge!

My theme is Famous Women

Our famous A is:

Amelia Earhart (1897-1939)

Quick Facts:

Ms. Earhart was born in Atchison,
Kansas.

She was an Aviation Pioneer.

She was the first female to fly solo
across the Atlantic Ocean.

In 1937, she disappeared while flying
over the Pacific Ocean.

Many theories have been raised since
her disappearance and fascination
continues today about her life, career
and her mysterious disappearance.

She was declared dead in 1939.

Monday will introduce you to
Famous B.

  1. Amelia's story is a fascinating one, and she was such an interesting lady. My mom was intrigued by her story and collected a number of books, some of which I still have.
