Welcome!
It is Maker Monday.
Today I would like to show
you my "off the street freebie."
Back in March, our neighbor's
(down the street) had this out
on their curb. I spyed it with
my little eye so as we were
leaving later I had Mr. Ken stop
so I could take a gander at it. Got
out, took a quick look and started
hauling it up to our house. Ken
asked if I needed help--"no just
follow me in case I do" I said.
As you can see it is a changing
table but to me it is a "shelving
unit, holder of many things."
Initially I thought I would
paint the whole thing but
changed my mind. It was it
in good shape so I just cleaned
it up.
And painted the shelves. The
top one is pink and the other
two have dots on them. When
I get my sewing room in order
it will go in there.
Mr. Ken will saw one of the bars
off the top shelf. I want the front
of the shelf to be open. I bought
baskets for the bottom shelf --to
hold my junk.
There you have it. Baby changing
table turned into a shelving unit.
Plus it was FREE!!!

Hello friends!
I am coming to you from Google Chrome!
Today we have a little crafty fun--
I saw this cute idea on a craft segment on
the midday news the other day.
Take your old crock pot and make it new
by painting it with chalk paint!
I'm not going to go into the logistics
but if you are interested in doing this
Google it.
I love it, great for parties and
potluck dinners. Gives your
guests an idea of what's inside.

Hello-
I hope everyone had a great
holiday weekend!
I have been planning this post
for a bit but haven't gotten to it
till now.
Back in October I picked this cutie
up at a garage sale for 5 bucks, yes
5 bucks! I was told that a neighbor
lady made it. Cool.
This is where it lives --in our
dining room.That is a "boom-
box" all right but it is THE best
little machine I have ever had.
Anyway, the Christmas music
will be heard loud and clear. I
made a tassle for the drawer
handle too. Love this table-it is
the perfect size cause the player
used to sit on the floor!
I picked this tray up at an estate
sale. It was damaged and really
not usuable for serving purposes
sooo I bought some chalkboard
paint and painted it...
Got the paint at Wal-Mart.
Took about 6-7 coats to
cover the area and any
boo boos.
After much looking for a holder,
we got it hung up in the living
room! (Above with flash.)
This one is without flash. Our
walls are really not THAT color.
Very excited to have it hanging up!
The "Hello from Me to You" project
is clicking right along. I recieved a
very cute homemade card from Kerin
at Mill Valley Meadow. More will be
going out this week from me. Some to
the East Coast and the Midwest.
See you in December!
