A Little Game Tomorrow

Good Afternoon!
In our house it is Chiefsmas Eve! As I am sure
you know tomorrow is Super Bowl LV and we
are so excited that our Kansas City Chiefs are
going to be there again!!! We are hoping for
another "W."
Nervous would be an understatement for how
we are feeling, but we have confidence in our
coaches, QB and team.
Regardless of who you support, it should be a
good game.

Are you going to watch the game, commercials
or something else?
If you are watching, what is on your Super Bowl
menu? We are having Chili, cheese and crackers,
Super Bowl cookies that I am decorating and
several munchie type yummies. It will just be Mr.
Ken and I this year and that is fine.

Don't forget to peek in on the Puppy Bowl.
We love to watch the puppies run around
and play plus it is good to know that
viewers can adopt the pups.

Enjoy your day tomorrow, you know where
we will be at 5:30 pm.  :) Go Chiefs!!!

On another note, received my first
vaccine dose yesterday. Thankful for
this. Praying for those still waiting
for theirs.

Thrifty Party Ideas

On Sunday we had some friends over
to watch the Super Bowl. This is the
party I try to do on a budget. Because
one can get carried away thinking they
need all things Super Bowl. For decorations,
I used items from previous parties that I
keep from year to year. Unused napkins,
confetti, serving dishes, tablecloths, plates,
plastic ware and football cutouts.

On our wedge I placed small footbal serving
dishes to hold peanuts and M & M's and small
napkins to use with the snacks and drink spills.
In my tray I just put two napkins that looked
like a football field and then I sprinkled on
(new ) metallic confetti.

For table coverings I used two table cloths
that I had saved and they just happened to
match the colors of both teams. They are
folded in half and placed side by side then
I used the napkins that looked like referee
shirts.

I used plates and napkins that I had. I did buy
one package of napkins that had footballs on
them. I also used football cutouts, confetti
(old and new) plus curly ribbon. I did buy these
and then cut them apart to use on the table and
the wedge.
We had finger foods so I didn't use much of my
saved plastic ware, I did use three red spoon I
had and them for dessert I got out some plastic
forks.

Table is set and ready to go!  More party pics soon.

So basically I purchased :

New confetti
One package of napkins
Two different curly ribbons

As I mentioned earlier, everything else was
saved from other parties. I find this to be
THE BEST way to have a party without
spending alot! If you are going with a specific
theme ALWAYS check to see what you have
left over from past party and then supplement
with purchased items.

Big Sunday

It's Trivia time!

Super Bowl Trivia

The 1st super bowl was
on January 15, 1967 in LA.

It was simulcast on TV by two
channels instead of one.

A ticket cost $12 and some felt
that was an outragious price!
They should see the price now!!!

Fans will see the 47th Super Bowl
this Sunday--February 3rd.

The 47th Super Bowl will see two
brothers at the coaching helm.

Super Bowl 46 was the most
watched Super Bowl--with 113.3
million viewers.

The San Francisco 49ers with a
5-0 record are the only team to
appear in more than one Super
Bowl without losing.

Seventeen of the 46 bowl games
have been decided by 7 points or

fewer.

NOW ON TO THE FOOD

Super Bowl Sunday ranks second to
Thanksgiving Day for the highest food
consumption in the United States.

The Haas Avacado Board says 71.4
million pounds of avacado -that's
142 million avacados- were consumed
during last year's Super Bowl.

These are "The must have" foods
for the Super Bowl:

1--Salsa, dips and/or spreads-69%

2--Chicken Wings-63%

3--Pizza-61%

4--Desserts-30%

5--Subs/Sandwiches-49%

What do you serve for Super Bowl
Sunday?

Do you have a party/get together?
Friends are coming over and we will
enjoy a Mexican fare.

The Puppy Bowl

You can find the Puppy Bowl on the
Animal Planet Channel each Super
Bowl Sunday--check your local listings.

The first one was on February 6, 2005.

The puppies featured in the model
stadium are shelter dogs.

This year's show was filmed in west
midtown Manhattan and features 63
puppies-10 on the field at a time.

 Filming occured over two days..

Check this show out--the puppies
are ADORABLE!!!!

HAPPY WATCHING!!
