Where in Missouri is...?

Good Afternoon!
Our travels continue in
Missouri today.

We will be going south. WAY
south to find B. For our letter
of the day, we will be stopping
in Branson.

Branson is located in the Ozark
Mountains almost to the border
of Missouri and Arkansas.

In the late 1880's, the city was
named after the postmaster and
general store operator-Ruben
Branson.

Many call Branson home but
many more have visited there
on vacation. Some might say
that it is an "entertainment
mecca" for the state!

Branson is well know for the
theatre entertainment available
to vacationers. Many stars have
had their own theatre in Branson
and some have just visited and
entertained. Many country stars and
rock and roll stars have had shows here.

One of the most popular entertainers in
Branson was Andy Williams. He opened
The Moon River Theater in May, 1992.
His Christmas show was well attended
by many!

Other things to see are:

Silver Dollar City, Shepherd of the
Hills, Table Rock Lake, Dolly Parton's
Dixie Stampede, Cave tours, Ride the
Ducks and The Titanic Museum.

There is something for everyone, so
if you are in the area stop in and have
a good ol' time!

Stop by tomorrow, when we will
back in Kansas looking for C.

~Keep on Dreaming~

  1. I was just in Branson yesterday! We went to the old antique stores in the old downtown area. You are so right, there is so much to do in Branson. Sometimes Lindsey and I run down there to their scrapbook store and their Michael's.

  2. My brother lived in Missouri for 20 years and never told us about all of these great places to visit. Maybe if we had known, we would've visited him more often. ;)
