It's Party Week !

Today we are going to
start with some party
tips from our friends at

GOOD HOUSEKEEPING.
Great things to keep in
mind as we plan our
summer shindigs.

They call these the "Who knew?"
party tips.

2: How many HOT DOGS
you can expect a guest to eat.

1/2: Bottles of WINE needed
per person.

68: Number of TUNES to put
in your ipod for a four hour
party.

3/4 cup: Amount of ICE CREAM
to scoop per serving.

4: Disposable CUPS used per
person.

20 % : The percentage of INVITEES
you can expect to RSVP "no."

10 square feet: The area of
protection you'll get for a bug
 repelling CANDLE

2: Paper PLATES required for
each guest.

  1. Melinda, I always try to use the same disposable cup over and over. I've been to gatherings where I see people get a new disposable cup each refill and I always wondered what was the correct way to do it?

    1. It seem like such a waste to me. I just hold on to mine and
if I set it down I make sure I know where I put it.

      : o )

  3. These were such great stats...and I think pretty accurate. Like you, I try to hold on to my own red solo, but when I've hosted for the kiddos' birthday parties, baptisms, First Communion, etc. I've seen the stack of cups in my garbage!!! I didn't know how much to estimate on wine though...good to know!

  5. I always overbuy for cups and plates. I keep my cup, too, but even when friends are here for Bible study for just a few hours we go through a lot of cups.
