Wednesday Write Up

I'm back!
But the biggest news is:
SCHOOL'S OUT!!
So nice to have some time off.

Let's get caught up...shall we?

I don't know about where you are
but here in the KC area it has been
HOT! Pretty miserable. :(

Early in the month, Mr. Ken had a
day off so I took off too. We picked
up flowers at a couple of garden centers
and stopped at a public garden east of
the Country Club Plaza.

Such a beautiful garden. The
caretakers change the flowers
and plants for the seasons.

More fun for these two.

We went to the ballet and
watched the production
Peter Pan with the Kansas
City Ballet. So fun. Before
the performance the director
and one of the Peter's gave a
talk about the performance,
they talked about the music
and what to listen for, how
the characters were played
and what to watch for. So
glad we went in to hear these
"hints".

Before school was out one of
coworkers and a good friend
became a first time Grandma.
I made this lap blanket for her
beautiful granddaughter.
It is one of those no sew fleece
pieces. I saw this particular one
on Pinterest. I watched the video
several times before and during
the making process.
She loved it.

Going back two posts, I tried
the tip about using post as props.
Works really well. I painted a
board that I am using to make a
sign for our bedroom (which is
still in progress but will be done
soon).

That's it for now, hope everyone
is doing well.

  1. Welcome back! You've been missed:) The park looks beautiful, love seeing all those flowers. Love musicals, too, and that's a great idea to be able to get a sneak preview of how to watch the performance. Happy Summer!

Thank you, the park makes for easy pics.

If we could turn down the heat a bit that would help. Ha!
