We interrupt the "catching up" posts to say "Bye Bye" February. It has been an interesting extra day. My brain kept thinking it was March. Looking forward to more sunny days ahead. We had 60's today and more tomorrow but less sun. Mr. Ken did some prep work on the deck. Getting ready to rebuild from our take down from last Fall. I worked in my sewing room, tidying up from our hanging a t.v. on the wall. Now I have entertainment in the sewing room. Also beginning to think flowers, flowers and more flowers! But waiting for no more frost to occur.
A week behind but remember we are "catching up." :)
A little Valentine décor for your viewing pleasure.
Love my Gnomes, I added some of the puffy hearts that I made.
Proud to say that I made this cute sign in a class with some friends.
Found some vintage Valentine's and clipped them to my little tree. I was sad to take this one down. The "Forever and Love" from above came from my friend Leslie at Dandelion Sprinkles Blog.
Speaking of Leslie--She made the cutest Valentine's for our annual card shower but I didn't get any pics (sorry Leslie) due to needing to get them mailed ASAP. Plans were changed for a recipient and I found out late. Thanks again Leslie for the awesome cards and the surprise gift. Love the scrabble letters, and the hot pad plus towel. All put to use and now tucked away for next year.
Enjoy your weekend. It is supposed to be close to 60 today!!!
Last Friday--Valentine's. Mr. Ken and I went downtown to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts to see "The Music of Pink Floyd" with the Kansas City Symphony and a Rock band.
We are lucky here in Kansas City to have this beautiful building that holds two performance halls, one for the Symphony and one for the ballet.
In our seats and ready for the performance. Now, I will say...I am not a Pink Floyd fan but this was fun. The incorporation of the symphony and the rock band was very cool. Plus there was vocalist too.
Mr. Ken was in heaven with his Christmas present that we went to on Valentine's Day.
My title asks an important question. Where have I been...well I feel like I have been in a Dr. Seuss book. I've been here and I've been there. I've been over there and on the other side. Basically I have been BUSY. So busy my poor little blog has taken a back seat.
Soon I will post pics and get up to date with all this busy (ness).
Tomorrow we are parade bound as the title says! Kansas City is throwing a city wide party for our Super Bowl Champs. Our Quarterback, Patrick Mahomes was at Disney World yesterday celebrating with children involved in the Make A Wish program and tomorrow he will join his teammates, coaches and owners for a BIG celebration. Mr Ken, myself and our neighbor will head to the parade after Mr. works for a bit. Should be a fun day, joining a million of our closest friends celebrating a Chiefs win in the Super Bowl. Oh, did I mention that we might have snow too? Woo hoo? Fun times!! ~Keep on Dreaming~
