As they say on Facebook: Feeling sad. I have noticed recently that some of my Followers have left the fold here at Dreaming. I realize that I have been away a bit more than usual but life seems to be some- thing I live. Yes, Facebook has taken me away from blogging more but most of it has been living a busy life. School, colds- both Mr. Ken and I, a respiratory infection--me and all of the various other things I could list have taken me from blogging. SO, I want to take a moment to THANK all of you who are still hanging in there with me. I do appreciate it A LOT!! ~Keep on Dreaming~
Over the weekend we stopped at the mall to see the annual "Canstruction" project. Our local food pantry benefits from the food that will come from the deconstruction of these projects. Those in need will get to choose from a lot of yummy goodies! Each picture has a description of the project. Click on them to find out about each project and you'll see how many cans each one took to construct.
Here we have a replica of the Kansas City World Series Trophy.
This is a combo of our stadiums--Royals and Chiefs. Looking at the above pic, you will see Royals stadium on the right with the KC and Chiefs stadium on the left.
On the back side of the Chiefs stadium the creators made and arrowhead from cans and jars.
This is a replica of Liberty Memorial which is located on the campus of the World War I Museum.
This one is my favorite one!
What creativity! Looks just like it is suppose to.
This is too cute too! I just realized that the owl is sitting on a tree branch. It is always fun to just walk around and see what items were used to build these structures. Fun to see. ~Keep on Dreaming~
Hi! The World Series Trophy has been on tour and we went to see it today! The viewing was from 1-3 pm but we got in line a little after 11 am. There were probably 8-10 groups of people in front of us. At 12:45 the line started moving and before we knew it we were standing THIS close to it! We are so proud of our Kansas City Royals and their win in the World Series. This is probably a once in a lifetime experience--unless we win THIS year, so we had to go. It was soooo much fun! Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Mr. Ken and I are feeling much better ans so happy to be able to get out and about. ~Keep on Dreaming~
Hello!!! No, I did not fall off the face of the earth. I have a case of Murphy's Law--big plans to blog more then the curse of the creeping crud hits. Actually a respiratory infection. Feeling better, went back to work today and asked EVERYONE to stop being so nice with their sharing of their crud! On to our post-- For most, today begins the season of Lent and we know that lasts for 40 days. Today on Facebook I saw this really cool idea-- Take a trash bag and for the 40 days take one thing out of your closet each day and drop it in the bag. By the end of Lent, you will have a full trash bag to donate to those who need your goodies more than you do. This is a great challenge for of all of us, think of it as the 40 for 40 Challenge. 40 days, 40 things. I'm going to do it, anyone want to join me??? Pictures and follow up coming soon. ~Keep on Dreaming~
