More pumpkin talk today. What do you do with pumpkins?
Here are some other ideas: (Using real or Faux pumpkins) ~Stamp them with designs. ~Perch them on planters at your front door. ~Carve them. ~Hollow out and serve cider or soup from it. ~Use as candle holders. ~Mod Podge white ones with pressed leaves. Check out Susan's Oct. 1st post at Between Naps on the Porch (see my sidebar) for Five Creative Ways to Decorate a Pumpkin. ~Keep on Dreaming~
Such great ideas. I hosted a garden party one Fall, and served two different kinds of soup out of hollowed out pumpkins. It was a big hit, and the soup stayed warm. I first warmed the pumpkins in a low-temp oven.
I have always enjoyed pumpkin time. I love to have them sitting around the house. Guess it will be the real deal for us this year, as my Fall decorations are packed away and there is no room for anything.....until after the kids move out and into their home....
Time to get my Halloween stuff out of the shed! Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteStill need to do this myself.
