image: Country Living As we are preparing for our Thanksgiving feasts, I thought I would share some interesting tidbits regarding THE big day. This was a poll from BHG for their Facebook readers. When asked what one item would be missed on Thanksgiving if it wasn't served. 58%---Stuffing 18%---Sweet Potatoes 16%---Cranberry Sauce 8%---Pumpkin Pie Now I know that I am in the minority when it comes to these things, because I wouldn't miss any of them! I don't care for any of it. I would miss: Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Green Salad/Green Beans, Apple Pie What would you miss if it wasn't served for Thanksgiving??? ~Keep on Dreaming~

Well, I'm a stuffing girl and only eat it once a year...on Thanksgiving with lots of gravy! I would also miss Pumpkin Pie and was surprised that it didn't rank above cranberry sauce...yuck...who eats cranberry sauce! Just kidding! ;)ReplyDelete
Hope all is going well!
I'd miss cranberry chutney, sweet potato souffle and stuffing/dressing with gravy. I don't like mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving (any other time of year they're o.k.), don't want rolls and just a small piece of pumpkin pie please.ReplyDelete
We'll I have to say I about had a heart attack when I offered to make the stuffin' for the churches Thanksgivin' dinner and learned we weren't havin' turkey!!!ReplyDelete
Really...what's a Thanksgiving table without the turkey???
I was informed we were havin' ham. What's with that???
Yep...I'm already missin' the turkey.
God bless and enjoy your day sweetie!!! :o)
I like mix the stuffing and potatoes together...lolReplyDelete
I love thanksgiving!
Oh my....with no doubt at all, mine would be the dressing....stuffing to some. dressings and cranberry sauce...gotta have this..ReplyDelete
I love pumpkin and cranberry and to me -- along with turkey -- they are the heart of the Thanksgiving dinner. GOT TO HAVE THEM. I make the cranberry relish every year and it's expected. It's cranberries, pears and ginger and it is delicious.ReplyDelete
Gravy!!! It's the only time of the year that I eat gravy and my sister actually forgot to serve it a few years ago. I kept waiting for it to come out and when it didn't, I didn't want to make her feel bad about not making it so I never asked about it. Turns out she had made it and left it on the kitchen counter. Totally put the rest of my day in a funk.ReplyDelete
Nice blog posting. I'm just blogwalking and very interesting to stop here and read your post. I like this.ReplyDelete
But, dont forget to give us your comment into my blog ya.
Thanks for share.
Cranberry sauce! Love it!ReplyDelete
I don't why I never buy it throughout the year. But, then it wouldn't be special, would it :)
Thanksgiving must haves include: turkey, dressing (cooked outside the bird) mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, some sort of squash side dish (I have tried several squash dishes, but my favorite is baked with apples and honey) and pumpkin pie. As long as those basics are there, I am not picky about any of the other side dishes.ReplyDelete
