Hot!, Hot!, Hot!

It's HOT! You don't need
me to tell you that though
do you? Some of you are
HOTTER than others.
Sooooo, to beat the heat
I thought (get it?) we'd
change gears a bit and
think about the upcoming
months. Wait! Come back
here. I didn't mean to
sending you running.
This post is supposed
to be helpful. :)
**********************
Let's get started:
For Aug. /Sept.
(depending where you
live) it's "Back to School"
time. Get "the list" and
go shopping for those
essentials needed. Make
it fun for ALL. Unless your
school is rigid then look for
fun pencils, notebooks,
folders. etc. Don't forget
to check their closets.
Have they grown out of
EVERYTHING?
For October:
Think "INDIAN SUMMER"
That period of time when
the days are warm and the
nights are cool.
Comfort Foods---Make a
list of recipes you want
to try or have again. What
are your standbys?
Outings---Orchards, farms,
pumpkin patches, fall sports,
picnics in the park. What are
your looking forward to?
Wardrobe---Ok, you fashion-
istas. It's time to check those
"fall fashions. " Make a list
of items needed ie: dark
socks/hose, what separates
do you need to replace?
Shoes--repair vs new.
Here's a good time to get
things together to donate.
For November:
For those of us that celebrate
Thanksgiving, think ahead
to where you may be or
if you are home what will
you serve? Months fly by
and we will be here before
we know it!
For December:
This month is filled
with a lot of celebrations.
Think ahead about those
that you participate in and
get those LISTS going!!!
Hopefully starting now will
keep the panic factor out of'
the next several months!!
Oh, Yea--Don't forget those
with birthdays, anniversarys,
births that will be coming up.
~Keep on Dreaming~

  1. Yep, your my kinda gal! Plan ahead sister. I'm lovin' the new look! My background expired and I spent the day yesterday tryin' on different ones. I'm not quite settled yet! It was kinda like loosin' a great pair of shoes!

I start my December early, like August. It's not the fact that I have eight grandkiddos to buy for but get this. Son and DIL have a Ann. the first, MIL birthday the thrid, BIL birthday the sixth, Grandson the tenth, another Grandson the 12th, DIL birthday the 14th, son on the 18th...and then we have Christmas. (...and I only have two children)

I commanded to the family..."no more weddin's or birthdays in December." When Daughter was gettin' hitched SIL wanted to get married in December. Charity told him bold faced...."Oh no, we can't do that, mama has forbidden anyone to marry or have babies in Dec. They married in January! Heeehehehe! Gotta keep Mama happy :o)

  2. This is my kind of post/thinking. I'm always planning ahead. In fact, right now in this awful heat and humidity, I'm winter dreaming and scheming! Keep cool!

  4. I love this post!! I am so with you, although I am trying to enjoy what is left of summer I am looking forward and planning for the months ahead. I was just telling my MIL that every year I say and plan the same thing and never do it. This October I want to make a fall/spooky inspired dish for dinner every night. ok, so I know that I won't do it every night.. mabye just a few nights a week. Maybe I try to plan my menu now. Thanks for the idea. : )

Have a great weekend. btw.. it is now 101 degrees on Baltimore.
