Sampler of Fun

Today's post is a little of this and that. Last Saturday we went to a "Culinary Garage Sale." It was a benefit sale for several groups--one being the Culinary Dept. in our local School District. It is a Vo-tech type of program. Did you say "What's that?" Well, I'll tell you. It was a sale with gently used kitchen goodies.
See all my goodies? One of the
best buys was a small waffle iron
for a buck! You can see in the
back of the above photo.
I also got this really cool cookbook.
Love the illustrations. It is more
of a book to read than cook with,
but there are some cool recipes
in it. The pic is a retake cause I
did a "delete" and wasn't supposed
to. :)
A fall candy dish.
And... a salsa bowl for my brother-
in-law. We had a lot of fun and I
hope they do it again.

Friday Evening:
Last night Mr. Ken and I took a
little drive to have dinner with
my blogging buddy Valerie and
her family. I was also able to
give her her prize from my
Summer giveaway. Some of the
goodies will have to wait for next
summer.
We had a great meal and an
enjoyable time visiting.
This is Mr. Luke their new
addition--we spent some time
visiting with each other. :)
Like I said---we had a great time.
Good food, great family, super fun
time.
Thanks everyone!!!!

  9. Sounds like you had fun! I loved my waffle iron. It's about the only kitchen tool I use on a regular basis (unlike all the rest of the ones hidden in the bottom of my cabinets).
