I Remember...

What does Today mean to you?
What were YOU doing 9 years ago?
***************************************
For me, it is a day to remember and
reflect on how the world has changed.
It just seem like we live in such a
different type of world than we did
in 2001. I don't know if it is because
I am older or if it is because there
has been sooo much change.
***************************************
On September 11, 2001, I was home
sick and I remember Ken calling and
asking "if I had the tv on." When I told
him "no" he said to turn it on and I was
glued to it as most of us were for days.
Today I have such a hard time seeing
those images and listening to the
reports, it breaks my heart to remember
all those lives lost and the many families
that are missing someone from their
family due to someone else's despicable
act!
My prayers and blessings go out to
everyone today as we REMEMBER.
~Keep on Dreaming~

  1. I remember too, and I weep for those lost. It still seems unbearable.

  2. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I actually look at my life as before and after September 11. I worked 8 blocks from the World Trade Center and got off the subway just as the second tower was struck. I always thought it would get much easier -- but today was still very tough.

  5. I was in the classroom on this horrific day. I still remember to pray for those who lost lives. People who just started a normal day that ended with a horrific tragedy.

God bless you and have a super week!

  6. It still makes me cry every time I think about what happened to all those innocent people on the planes and in the three buildings... There were babies on those planes and that just kills me.
I wonder what it will take to change the world and make the hate go away. And the only thing I can ever think of is to educate the young ones. So maybe a generation from now it will be better. We need to build more schools over there, so the young ones will not be put into those horrible schools where they are taught to hate and kill. Have you read Three Cups of Tea?
