Hello!!! Remembering those who served and those who continu to serve. Thank you to those who are keeping us safe. As we remember the true meaning of this holiday, I am sure everyone is finding time to get things done around home and spend quality time with family and friends. My first few days of summer vacation were filled with watching it rain cats and dogs and A LOT of them. The weekend has been dry and we have gotten some projects accomplished with more to do. More rain may come tomorrow so we may be in the house working, which will be good too. How is your holiday weekend going? Big plans?? ~Keep on Dreaming~
Hello friends! Here is is already Wednesday. Whew! This is what is going on here: I am two days OUT OF SCHOOL and I am so excited! It wasn't a bad year but it was so full of drama and I am glad to be away for awhile. Things will be so different next year--- should be interesting. Before we left, we had the annual party for those retiring or moving on to new adventures. For our retiree, I made this "candy cup" . The cup had words on it that fit her retiring. She loves chocolate too. It was a fun little gift among the many she received.
Our niece's graduation party was last Saturday and for part of her gift I made this jar. We put filler in it to match her college colors and then we put rolled up dollar bills in it. She can use it for laundry, snacks, emergency cash etc.
I put a cute label on the front. When it is empty she can refill it with loose change or she can use ot for something else.
We put it in a bag that matches her high school colors. ~~~~ Today I finished unloading all my school stuff, sorted through it and put away what I need for next year and tossed what I didn't need anymore. I can see the dining room table again!! ~Keep on Dreaming~
Hello! Today we are bringing back "Trivia Tuesday." Many readers have enjoyed these posts. Our topic is...can you guess?? If you said Summer, YOU are correct!! Summer begins on June 20th, 5:34 p.m. CDT. Check your time zone for the time Summer begins in your neck of the woods. The Summer season lasts for 93 days,15 hours and 47 minutes.
So that would mean we have: 33 days 20 hours 11 minutes 20 some seconds until Summer arrives! ~Keep on Dreaming~
Happy Sunday, hope it is treating you well! Today we are going to have a little "Throwback" to what is happening here. Back in early April, I hit my 1,000th post! Very proud of this! When I began this blogging journey I had no idea that I would get that far!
April also brought the A-Z Blog Challenge, a challenge I completed. My topic was Education. If you missed it, click on my sidebar.
Baseball began is April also. We have spent a lot of time cheering the Boys in Blue-win or lose.
So happy so see the rose bush bloom. I trimmed it and am always concerned that I will wreck it and it won't bloom in the Spring.
And yes, THE DREADED FACEBOOK has taken up some of my time (a lot). Some other things going on--- *Flooded family room twice thankfully minor each time. Plumber came out to mess with our tree roots and the neighbor helped clean our gutters so hopefully now we can put the room back in order and not have any more problems. *Drove 5 hrs to Oklahoma for our niece's wedding to turn around the next morning and drive home because we both got sick. Missed the wedding :( *There are 5 1/2 days left of school! We have three ALL day events this week too. Summer vacay is on the way and I CANNOT wait!! *Another niece will graduate from high school so we have a party to attend next Saturday and her grad- uation will be the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. *Mr. Ken will be home that weekend too --three day holiday weekend with him. The following weekend we have a much anticipated wedding of our friend's daughter. Not only will she be getting a husband but two boys also! We are so excited for her and her family. Somewhere in all of this we will help Mr. Ken's brother and fiance move to there new house and then eventually we will have their wedding in September to enjoy. Whew---NO WONDER WE ARE WORN OUT!!! ~Keep on Dreaming~
Hello Everyone! Please pardon the absence of this blogger. I hope someone is still out there!! May has flown by, this week was full and next week will be fuller and believe it or not I have 6 1/2 days left of the school year!! As the saying goes "Time flies when you are having fun!" Today I have a question-- Have you ever agreed to a project, activity, obligation or commitment and regretted that you said "YES?" If so, did you stick it out until com- pletion or did you find a way out of what you agreed to do? Today I finished an obligation that I agreed to back at the first of the year! I will not lie, I am SO glad this obligation is finished. I agreed to help a friend, but all I did was dread Monday's and Thursday's from the time I said yes. I must say though that I am proud that I stuck it out and finished the obligation with out trying to come up with a way to get out of it!! Hope everyone is doing well, I hope to get my act together and post more, especially with school being out soon. ~Keep on Dreaming~
