May 5th

 

Today is Cinco de Mayo~

 It is a yearly celebration held on May 5 

to celebrate Mexico's victory over the 

Second Frenc Empire at the Battle of 

Puebla in 1862, led by General Ignacio 

Zaragoza.

There parades, music,  food, folklore 

dancing and battles.

Mexicans, Mexican Americans and 

non-Mexican folks celebrate

this holiday.
