Hello!
Today we return to our trip to Oklahoma
back in May. If you remember, we went
to downtown Oklahoma to a garden fest
then on our way home, we stopped at one
of their large lakes and watched wild and
crazy people skimming across the water.
This one left the water! No thanks!
Later in the day we went to downtown Edmond,
our goal for the stop here was PIE! It is called
the Railyard and boy oh boy do they have PIE!
Cute little area to fix your tea, get water etc.
Ta-Da!
Apple Crumble. YUM!
Then we went wandering around. This
sculpture holds locks. Visitors can
"lock their love" for each other here.
Awesome mural. Sister-in-law in the
foreground.
On the street corners were these wonderful
sculptures. Sorry for the double pic.
As you can see below, this one is called
"Storytime."
So fun to see what would be on the next corner.
Sunday was Mother's Day, so before we left
town, we picked up a hanging plant for my
Sister-in-law. We kept it hid in the car but
with the help of my nephew and brother-
in-law I got it in the house and hid it in
our bathroom. Before we left, we gave
it to her. She was pretty surprised!
On the road home.
Then for Father's Day weekend the crew came
up here. Lunch at Dad's favorite BBQ restaurant.
Left to right: Dad, Dorothy (Dad's lady friend)
Cindy (sister-in-law) and Mr. Ken. Backrow:
Bradley (our nephew) and Gregg (brother-in
-law) I took the pic.
So good to see family!!
~Keep on Dreaming~
Love going along on your road trips. The sculptures are great, love that kind of art. Always nice to see family and spend time doing new things together! Parasailing pics are great. I'll enjoy it from the ground, thanks!
